You can also make this in the microwave, use the above directions, but place the mixture in a microwave proof container (preferably a ring cake microwave dish) – cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 7 minutes.
Recipe Hint and Tips:
- If you don’t have a steamer – place in a greased noodle bowl and place in a large stockpot half filled with boiling water – works just the same. Make sure it has a firm fitting lid.
- Golden Syrup Steamed Pudding is not suitable for freezing.
- Leftover pudding can be covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Steamed Puddings are notorious for drying out so they really don’t last long!
